Balancing a full-time job, my own small-scale company, and a family has kept my days full\u2014sometimes feeling like there just aren\u2019t enough hours in a day. The fall of 2024 brought its fair share of 24-hour+ workdays. Demanding, yes, but also rewarding in many ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the courses we had last semester was Principles in Value Chain Management<\/em>. It taught me many valuable lessons, but what stood out the most was the emphasis my lecturer placed on sustainability\u2014not just in business, but in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When working on the course and writing essays or reports about a company’s supply chain, the first place I turned to was their sustainability reports. These reports provided a window into the measures companies were taking to create sustainable and resilient practices.This process truly intrigued me. It made me realize just how crucial sustainability will be for businesses in the years to come\u2014not just as a trend, but as an essential part of long-term success and responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This has also made me reflect on my own responsibility in creating a more sustainable world. What measures have I taken to contribute? If I\u2019m honest, not much more than what\u2019s expected from an average Norwegian citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this blog, I\u2019ll explore topics related to sustainability\u2014both in business and in everyday life.
